(505) 908-8058

Dr. Schwarz is the manager of the “Advanced Capabilities for Pulsed Power” department and the facility owner of the 1MA Mykonos pulsed power driver.

Karen DeZetter

Electromechanical Technologist

kjdezet@sandia.gov

Karen DeZetter is an electromechanical technologist with extensive experience maintaining R&D vacuum systems.  She also serves as a Mykonos operator and can help address facility issues.

Brian Hutsel

R&D S&E, Electrical Engineering

bthutse@sandia.gov

Brian Hutsel is a staff member in the “Energy Delivery and Compression” group at Sandia.  Brian led the effort to use Mykonos to evaluate Linear Transformer Driver (LTD) technology for use in high current applications and expanding the Mykonos LTD module from two to five cavities for use in power flow experiments.

Derek Lamppa

R&D S&E, Electrical Engineering

dclampp@sandia.gov

Derek Lamppa acts as an operator for the Mykonos accelerator. He has designed Mykonos load configurations that achieve surrogacy for Z inner MITL physics conditions. His research interests on Mykonos include in-situ plasma cleaning and other electrode conditioning techniques to improve power delivery. Derek is also the point of contact for the Applied B on Mykonos system.

Robert Obregon

R&D Laboratory Support Technologist

rjobreg@sandia.gov

Robert Obregon is a support technologist for the Mykonos facility.  He performs the test chamber refurbishment and assists with load hardware installation.

Alex Sarracino

R&D S&E, Electrical Engineering

asarrac@sandia.gov

Dr. Alex Sarracino is a research staff member in the “Power Flow & Energy Coupling” group at Sandia, focusing on optical diagnostics and material science for power flow. He is the point of contact for all Mykonos diagnostics needs.

Trevor Smith

Postdoctoral Researcher

tjsmith@sandia.gov

Dr. Trevor Johannes Smith is a postdoctoral researcher in the Power Flow & Energy Coupling group at Sandia. His research focuses on optical and spectroscopic diagnostics for detecting low density neutrals and ionized species in power feeds. He is a Mykonos facility operator and the point of contact for the vacuum ultraviolet spectrometer diagnostic.
